Will you take care of special needs pets? Absolutely! As stated in the ABOUTS US section, we have worked with special needs animals before.
What kinds of animals do you take care of? I will be happy to take care of dogs, cats, fish, birds, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, ferrets, or mice.
What kinds of animals do you NOT take care of? We both love and respect all life and WILL sit for most. However, we do not sit for any pet that is fed live animals.
Do you accept dogs that bite? Absolutely NOT. If your dog has bitten anyone before, you need to let us know. Safety is a huge concern and we will not sit for anyone whose dog has aggressive behavior. A dog who is prone to biting would see us as an intruder. Also, we need to be able to handle the animal if an emergency should arise.
Will you spend the night at the house of the pets you are sitting? No, our services do not include house sitting. However, we can go by early in the morning and late at night to check on them.
If a medical emergency arises, where will you take the pet? As stated on my PRICE LIST section, if an emergency occurs during regular business hours, I will take your pet to their regular vet free of charge. However, if it happens after business hours (or on weekends), your pet will be taken to Eastern Carolina Veterinary Emergency Treatment Services in Wilson, NC. You will be charged $30.00 extra for this visit. You will be responsible for any and all bills that result from a trip to the vet!
Do you perform consultations? And if so, how much do they cost? Absolutely! The first meeting is imperative so that you can see us interact with your pet. Also, it’s important for us to meet you and receive any special instructions. There is no charge for consultations.
Do my pets have to have vaccinations? YES! We do NOT sit for any pet whose vaccinations are not current. This is for the safety of our pets and the ones we sit for.
What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash, money orders, and checks. However, there will be a fee for any returned checks.
Are you bonded and/or insured? Not at this point in time.
